Your speakers in Portuguese. Your attendees in English and Spanish.

When a keynote or session is delivered in Portuguese, Aulra Voice lets attendees follow it in English or Spanish on their own phones. There are no receivers to hand out and no booth to build. One person runs the broadcast from a browser, attendees scan a QR code, and each of them listens with their own earbuds.

No receivers doesn't mean nothing to prepare. You still need a microphone for the speaker, a laptop or phone running the Aulra console, someone to operate it, and a screen or printed sign for the QR code. Attendees bring their own earbuds, so say so in your pre-event email.

Running it on event day

Before the event

  • Run a short test with the speaker's actual microphone.
  • Tell your speakers that their session goes through an automated translation service.
  • Put the QR code in the program, or print it for the seats.
  • Check that your credit covers every session you plan to translate. You need at least 30 language-minutes to start, and translation stops when the balance reaches zero.

During the session

  • Project the QR code as people sit down, and again when the speaker starts.
  • Keep your operator at the console for the whole session. That's where credit warnings appear.

After the session

There's nothing to collect or return. We don't keep audio, transcripts or translations of your sessions, so no file is left to manage. Our AI providers may retain data temporarily under their own terms, as the Privacy Policy explains.

Where Aulra fits in a conference program

Aulra is built for one person speaking at a time, in Portuguese. Good candidates are a keynote from a Brazilian speaker, a Portuguese-language session on an international program, or a guest talk for attendees who came from abroad.

Sessions in other languages are outside what Aulra does. If your program mixes languages, plan for those sessions separately.

When to book an interpreter instead

A Brazilian Portuguese interpreter is the better choice when a mistake could cause harm, when a certified interpreter is required, or when your speaker needs to be understood with full nuance by people making decisions in the room. Aulra's translations come from AI and can be inaccurate or incomplete. It's not a substitute for a human interpreter, and we'd rather you know that before you book. The Terms describe where the service shouldn't be used.

Budgeting by language-hour

Attendance doesn't change the bill: you pay for the hours translated and the languages offered. A session in English and Spanish uses two language-hours for each hour on stage.

Frequently asked questions

Do attendees have to download an app?

No. The QR code opens a web page in their phone's browser. There's no app and no account.

Does a bigger audience cost more?

No. The number of listeners doesn't change the price.

AI or human interpreter: which should we use?

Use a human interpreter when errors carry real risk or a certified interpreter is required. Aulra suits sessions where attendees need to follow a talk in Portuguese and you don't have an interpreter on the program.

Can Aulra translate every session at a multilingual conference?

Only sessions delivered in Portuguese.

Will we get a transcript of the session?

No. We don't keep transcripts, so there's nothing to send you afterward.

Can we try it before the conference?

Yes. The free trial gives you 30 language-minutes, which is 30 minutes in one language or 15 minutes in two. It's available once per organization and card.
